REVIEW: Star Fox: Assault

Star Fox: Assault

Genre: Action
Platform: Gamecube
Developer: Namco
Publisher: Nintendo

At a time when gamers are still recovering from the onslaught of the Holiday 2004 games, late winter brings forth another gem.

Control

Gameplay
Star Fox: Assault even masters one of the coolest additions to a mission in video game history. After successfully completing the first part of the mission on foot, Fox is then rescued by Falco in his Arwing. Without spoiling too much, just know that Fox is one heck of a good shot from the wing of a space craft. Not only did it help add diversity to the gameplay, it aided in the movie-like flow of the game. We need more games to not just use it, but master this feature.

Graphics

Sound
In typical space warfare style, Star Fox offers its share of explosive moments. Missle fires, charged Blaster attacks, bombs exploding all sound as vibrant as expected.

(closing)
If you are a Star Fox fan, you have already been playing this game. If you are an average action game fan, I highly recommend this game.

4 out of 5
